A family in Sonoma County has used a Home Care Cottage to adapt a Grandmother’s home to a living situation that allows for her Home Care by her children and grandchildren while giving everyone the private space they need to enjoy their independence.

Grandma lives in the Home Care Cottage while the children and grandchildren enjoy the big house. The Children give grandma rent that gives her some income. The children will eventually be left the family home when Grandma passes away, and the money they contributed to her retirement income will have been payments toward the ownership of their family home.
